I came to The Center to learn how to handle my depression in a healthy and effective way, to help control my suicidal thoughts and help them subside. To process through some relationship issues including marriage, my parents, ex-girlfriend, and past regrets in my life decisions. To find some hope in the future. To learn who I really am, and not just who everyone else or religion has said I “should” be.
My treatment tam was very helpful. The 1-on-1 sessions were the most helpful in making real progress with a variety of different areas in my life. The group sessions also helped to teach me some new skills and ways I can better understand myself, my thoughts and emotions, and how to effectively handle or process them.
The 1-on-1 sessions I had with my primary counselor were particularly helpful for me. I felt he really understood me and connected well to me, which was so critical for me, as I’ve felt an overwhelming sense that no one can understand and “get me” until now. I feel we made really great progress through my most difficult issues during each session, and he also helped me better know how to go forward from here into the future.
Thank you all for your help and support. I truly appreciate what you do here.
