When you’re living with an eating disorder, there’s not much room for anything else. The obsession with how, when, and what you eat, or don’t eat, takes precedence over everything—your health, your relationships, your hopes and your dreams. Eating disorders are an all-consuming attack on your body and mind.
Fortunately, you have the power to take your mind and body back. As much as it may feel like your eating disorder defines you, this definition is a facade—a made-up truth about who you are, how you look, and what you need. You have a choice. The truth is, you are not your eating disorder. You are a person who has chosen to use food as a means of controlling and relieving your pain.
It’s time to choose the truth.
Contrary to what you may have heard or feared, it really is possible to recover from an eating disorder including bulimia, anorexia, and compulsive overeating. Eating disorder treatment does not require, or even benefit from, forced eating or the consumption of a large number of calories. It is possible to live free from an eating disorder and be happy with how you look.

Adolescent Eating Disorder Programs
At The Center, every day we tailor eating disorder treatment programs for the unique needs of adolescents and teenagers. We know that adolescents and older teens need assistance in continuing their academic studies while at The Center, and we can arrange for state-certified teachers and academic tutors to provide that support. Time for studying is worked into each individual program accordingly.
Additionally, our Adolescent Eating Disorder Program includes help for parents, family members and loved ones who are also suffering with their loved one experiencing an eating disorder.
Eating Disorder Treatment for Both Men and Women
Many eating disorder treatment programs exclude men, especially those dealing with anorexia or bulimia recovery. That is not the case at The Center. We have a program just for men incorporating our whole-person, individualized approach to recovery from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or binge eating disorders. If you are a male with an eating disorder, there is hope and healing for you at The Center.
What Other Have Said About Their Care
“To those who read this while researching treatment centers and who are fearful of the time, effort and cost of treatment, let me ask you: what is your freedom worth!?”
“I cannot say enough how much my team [at The Center • A Place Of HOPE] changed my whole life. I am not even sure they know what impact they made – but they changed my whole view and the ripple effect changed my family.”
“I would trust my counselor with my life, and I am.”
“I wanted to understand the reasons I kept hanging on to my eating disorder when it caused so much destruction in my life. Also, to dig deep to find the core reason that I had such self-harming behaviors. My treatment team was absolutely amazing. It definitely was not easy getting through these things, but with their knowledge, wisdom, care and support I was able to overcome obstacles that I never really thought I would be able to. I just want to say that The Center has changed my life in more ways than one. Thank you for putting so much love and inspiration into this Place of Hope. I am grateful beyond words, and there will always be a special place in my heart for all of you.”
“My primary goals in coming here were to break my eating disorder habits and learn healthier ways to cope with stress. My treatment team was wonderful! I learned something from every one of them; they showed true compassion and care. And my medical team was fantastic! They encouraged me and cared about the whole me, and not just the medical side. Thank you so much! All of the staff here are wonderful (even the ones I haven’t met)! It was nice to see the unity in the team, to see everyone working together. Thank you for caring about me and going beyond what was expected to help me. I have been truly blessed by everyone here at The Center. God bless you all as well!”
Whole-person care at The Center • A Place of HOPE
Whole-person care was created by Dr. Gregory Jantz, PhD, the founder of The Center • A Place of HOPE, in the early 1980’s. Dr. Jantz noticed that other programs were treating just the symptoms of an individual’s disorder or addiction. This type of narrowly focused treatment was not providing long-lasting care – complete recovery and freedom from one’s disorder – needed to define true success. Dr. Jantz is a certified eating disorder specialist and the author of bestseller Hope, Help, and Healing For Eating Disorders: A Whole Person Approach To Anorexia, Bulimia, and Disordered Eating.
Whole-person care treats the entire you — your mind, body and spirit.
Whole-person care treats your entire person, all aspects of your life – physical, mental, emotional, nutritional, fitness, spiritual – to enable complete healing for your mind, body and spirit. In this way, you work through all components of your life that have contributed to your current condition. The result is a deeper, longer-lasting and more complete recovery.
Your very own team of world-class professionals assigned just to you
At The Center • A Place of HOPE, we assign a team of world-class licensed and board-certified professionals just to you. Team members are highly specialized and include licensed medical doctors, psychiatrists, eating disorder specialists, psychologists, nutritionists, dieticians, mental health counselors, chemical dependency counselors, fitness trainers, registered nurses, marriage and family counselors and clergy.
They take the time to get to know you personally and understand all of your life events that have contributed to your current situation. They then create a treatment program that is uniquely tailored to you, personalized to your individual needs and life experiences, and built to return you to a place of lasting balance, health and happiness.
