Proven, Lasting Whole Person Care
When you’re experiencing a traumatic moment or event, the emphasis is often on survival. Once the event is over, the temptation is to simply move on and put that moment behind you. But it isn’t that easy. If trauma is not dealt with, it will eventually demand your attention in the form of trauma treatment, stress counseling, physical abuse treatment, sexual abuse treatment, and more. If you have become depressed, or experience PTSD from the event, then the need for treatment is even more pronounced.
Though it may be years later, trauma does not just “fade away.” It must be addressed and resolved to attain true balance, peace and happiness again. Because of the pain involved in trauma and abuse, treatment requires a safe place with a team of compassionate, caring, experienced professionals to guide you through the process. The Center does just that through our proven whole-person care that addresses the entire you — your emotional, medical, physical, psychological, nutritional, fitness and spiritual needs. The Center is dually licensed for psychiatric issues as well as addiction treatment. This enables us to treat co-existing disorder such as chemical dependency, depression, anger and PTSD.
Abuse Healing Intensive Treatment Program
Each of The Center’s Intensive Trauma Treatment Programs, be it for stress management, physical abuse treatment, sexual abuse treatment, emotional abuse treatment or another issue, is personalized to meet your individual needs.
There is no cookie-cutter approach to treatment, because your situation is unique to you. Because of that, we take time to get to know you and your entire life experiences and understand the contributing factors to your trauma. We then assign a dedicated team of experienced trauma treatment specialists just to you, and develop your unique program to ensure you receive the optimum care you need.
Your program begins with a comprehensive assessment that will evaluate the whole person, including the following areas:
- Chemical dependency assessment
- Behavior addictions
- Complete mental health assessment
- Vocational & career needs
- Family functioning & issues
- Health of social relationships
- Complete physical health & fitness assessment
- Complete psychological testing and assessments
- Assessment & nutrition plan by registered dietician
- Health appraisal analysis
- Complete medical work-up and exam
- Medication reassessment (if you are on medications such as antidepressants or antianxiety medications, an assessment of effectiveness and new prescriptions may be provided, as well as natural health care)
- Other tests purposely not listed here
- Healthy nutritious weekday meals (organic, nutritional emphasis)
Whole-person care at The Center • A Place of HOPE
Whole-person care was created by Dr. Gregory Jantz, PhD, the founder of The Center • A Place of HOPE, in the early 1980’s. Dr. Jantz noticed that other programs were treating just the symptoms of an individual’s disorder or addiction. This type of narrowly focused treatment was not providing the type of long-lasting care – complete recovery and freedom from one’s disorder – needed to define true success.
Treatment for the entire you — your mind, body and spirit
Whole-person care treats your entire person, all aspects of your life – physical, mental, emotional, nutritional, fitness, spiritual – to enable complete healing for your mind, body and spirit. In this way, you work through all components of your life that have contributed to your current condition. The result is a deeper, longer-lasting and more complete recovery.
Your very own team of world-class professionals assigned just to you
At The Center • A Place of HOPE, we assign a team of world-class, licensed and board-certified professionals just to you. Team members are highly specialized and include licensed medical doctors, psychiatrists, eating disorder specialists, psychologists, nutritionists, dieticians, mental health counselors, chemical dependency counselors, fitness trainers, registered nurses and marriage and family counselors, and clergy. They take the time to get to know you personally and understand all of your life events that have contributed to your current situation.
They then create a treatment program that is uniquely tailored to you, personalized to your individual needs and life experiences, and built to return you to a place of lasting balance, health and happiness.
Each treatment program is different, and the length and level of care required in each program varies. But each person discusses the cost of their program with a trained program specialist prior to arrival to fully understand what costs are involved. Costs are on a per-diem basis and include professional transportation to and from the Seattle airport, all lodging in modern luxury condominium-style apartments, morning and afternoon meals, and all treatment programs including all medical and psychological evaluations.
Most major insurance policies are accepted for treatment. For any out-of-pocket expenses, The Center • A Place of HOPE works with trusted financing firms to offer payment plans. “My counselors helped me to explore some very painful things that have happened in my life. Being able to express those things and receive words of truth and encouragement while also receiving tools to “break the cycle” was a huge blessing. I really enjoyed the combination of individual and group therapy. Having a safe place to express hurts and struggles as well as sharing triumphs along the way was such an enriching experience.
I’m so thankful for my experience here, and feel like I’ve gained so any “tools for my toolbox” to take with me and use in my everyday life. My being here also opened up the door for healing in other relationships in my family, which I’m so thrilled about. I definitely feel like every aspect of my life will be better because of everyone here.”
