SELF-DISCOVERY
Getting to know yourself, your body, and who you are is vital to your healing from an Eating Disorder. It is essential for your recovery, and it's going to remain essential for the rest of your life.
Many individuals have a hard time at introspection because they do not like themselves because they believe the negative statements that others have said about them. So, they refuse to walk in self-discovery and go to food. Others, spend all their time in introspection and never do anything to change their way of life. So they are always discouraged and go to food. When we speak of Self-Discovery, we are talking about looking at who we are in a positive manner which, yes will include seeing our faults, but then finding ways to change who we are and how we live.
