Each one of us is a complex person, an amalgamation of our experiences and personality. Sometimes, the events we experience in our lives are overwhelming and pull at the core of who we see ourselves to be. Often these events took place when we were young and vulnerable. The trauma that resulted has wide-ranging effects. Sometimes, we need help to put those experiences into perspective, to recover from them and move beyond them, into the future. At The Center, we’ve designed an Abuse Healing Program to help place these experiences into their proper context and allow you to grow, to heal, to move forward.
Integrative Medicine Whole-Person Care
Our Abuse Healing Programs are appropriate for:
Sexual Abuse
Sexual Assault/Date Rape
Emotional Abuse
Physical Abuse
Major Life Traumas
During
the urgency of a traumatic moment or event, often the
emphasis is on surviving—just making it through ‘til
tomorrow. The temptation, when tomorrow comes, is to move
on, put it in your past and
just keep going forward. But traumatic events or situations
will eventually demand your attention. It may be years down
the road but unhealed hurts eventually must be addressed and
attended to. Because of the pain involved, it takes a safe
place with a team of compassionate, caring professionals to
guide you through the process. Instead of causing further
damage, such trauma recovery work can strengthen you in the
present and prepare you for a brighter, more hopeful
future.
