Our Eating Disorder Recovery Programs are available for those seeking healing from anorexia, bulimia, compulsive overeating, food addiction, emotional eating or recovery after gastric bypass surgery. There is a future and a hope for you to find a life worth living – our comprehensive recovery programs include the latest in advanced treatment and technologies and exceptional quality of care.


Integrative Medicine, Whole-Person Care

At The Center, we recognize and value the individual.  We know that each person comes to us with a unique situation, challenges and needs. Each client receives an individualized, targeted program with customized solutions to address many of your life challenges.  The Center provides a safe, confidential and supportive place for you to deal with the underlying issues related to your eating disorder and help you to learn to enjoy life’s pleasures again. 

We offer a range of Eating Disorder Recovery Options, designed to maximize results within a flexible, client-centered program.  Based upon our client’s individual needs, our programs are designed for the duration best suited for your personalized recovery.  Most of our clients come to work with us for 4-12 weeks or longer.  We work with you to determine what best fits your needs.

With over 23 years experience, we have designed a program utilizing therapeutic interventions with the highest success rate among men and women with food dependency issues.  We know how important it is for you to work with a knowledgeable team of professionals.  Dr. Gregg Jantz has assembled a team of world-class professionals specializing in treating eating disorders.  This team of experts are well prepared to address social, physical, emotional and spiritual balance utilizing advanced treatment and technologies using traditional medication methods, alongside beneficial “whole person” detox processes as part of your personalized recovery program.

In keeping with the Center’s tradition of exceptional quality and the finest of personalized care, you can expect an individualized clinical treatment program as well as:


 
  • Your own personal “Primary Care and Recovery Manager”
    Transportation to and from airports
  • 30-60 hours per week of direct care including a therapeutic combination of individual and group therapy designed for maximum recovery support
  • “Supportive Eating” nourishment meal times
  • Pre-care appointments prior to start of intensive
  • Specialized Art Therapy Classes
  • Expressive Therapy Class (Music)
  • Weekly Nutrition Education class
  • Weekly Food Shopping Classes
  • Weekly Cooking Classes
  • Eating Disorder Recovery Group 5 times per week
  • Body Image and Self-Esteem Class
  • Special “Living Well” Group Series
  • Complete Psychological testing and assessments, including:
    • Psychological/Social History Questionnaire

    • Eating Disorder Needs Assessment Survey
    • Diagnostic Survey for Eating Disorders
    • Symptoms Checklist
    • Million Behavioral Medicine Diagnosis, where age appropriate
    • PTSD Assessment
    • Complete Mental Health Assessment
      (other testing that we do not listed here.)
  • Complete physiological testing and assessments, including:
    • Assessment & Nutrition Plan by our Dietician or Physician
    • Medical Health Exam (if indicated)
    • Health Appraisal Analysis
    • Quantitative Organic Acid Profile
    • Various specialized blood tests
    • Complete Medical workup and Exam performed by our medical team
    • Medication reassessment – if you are on medications, such as anti-depressants or anti-anxiety medications, we will provide an assessment of effectiveness and provide any new prescriptions.
 
  • A Bioimpedance (BIA) test to evaluate ongoing dehydration and metabolism issues.  This is a simple, non-evasive test that does not require blood work or any discomfort.

  • Medical Monitoring including multiple daily checks of “vital signs” when needed.

  • EKG’s as indicated by medical personnel

  • We may elect to do various types of G.I. testing including:

    • Food Allergies (added cost to program)

    • Complete Blood Count with electrolytes

    • Automated Chemical Profile
       

  • We also may elect to perform various types of female (or male) hormonal profiles. (Profiles added cost to program).

  • There are other tests that we do not list here.

  • Eating Disorder assessments include food history, diet analysis, nutrient evaluation, dietary guidelines, menu planning, and food selection/planning.

  • Fitness assessment by Certified Personal Trainer, Registered Nurse, where indicated, designed to measure a baseline of your current physical condition.

  • Access to fitness facilities and fitness classes for minimal additional charge. (These services are available when your treatment team leader/physician has approved the exercise type and duration)

  • Healthy, nutritious “eating disorder recovery” weekday lunches (organic, nutritional emphasis), which include 4 daily selections designed by Dr. Jantz. Your lunch is provided as part of your treatment and will include “safe” options for you to select from each weekday.

 When requested, weekly prayer counseling. (Will be scheduled as requested.)
ç  Regular sessions with Eating Disorder Body Image Specialist & Certified Fitness Trainer.
ç  Nutritional counseling to assist you in all aspects of dealing with food.
ç  Personal involvement, direction, program management, oversight, & supervision by Dr. Jantz.

ç  Initial supply of Metabolic Recovery
ç  A daily journal for you to use with your assignments.




 

ç  A variety of reference handouts to build your own “Recovery Handbook”  to take home and use in the months to come.
ç  Specialized Art Therapy
ç  Weekly Fitness Reassessment & Coaching, where appropriate
ç  Specialized massage therapy
ç  Supportive Eating Program
 

  • Multi-disciplinary approach means our team of professionals are actively involved in your care, addressing all aspects of your eating disorder, improving your long term recovery

  • Additional groups may address PTSD, Co-Occurring Disorder issues or Substance Abuse issues as indicated by evaluation process and according to your personalized treatment plan

We highly recommend weekly telephone sessions for 3 to 6 months as part of your continuation of care plan.  This is nearly always recommended and extremely beneficial to your recovery and relapse prevention.  This helps solidify your recovery skills and provide a venue to discuss ongoing challenges and successes.  (Additional fee)

We also offer Specialized Adolescent Eating Disorder Programs including help for parents and families according to the recommendations of the Primary Care Therapist.
Intensive Academic Services
Adolescents and older teens who come to The Center to participate in an intensive recovery program may wish assistance in continuing their academic studies. Upon request, The Center can arrange for a state-certified teacher who is able to act as an academic tutor. If this option is chosen, time will be provided on your schedule for academic studies. Please let your intensive coordinator know if you have this need so more information can be provided to you.
