For the readers of the newly revised and expanded "Hope, Help and Healing for Eating Disorders", thank you for trusting us to assist in your recovery.  I know this is a difficult journey for you and these web messages are meant to bring you strength and courage.  (If you have not yet read "Hope, Help and Healing", please consider obtaining a copy through this website.  The book is written to provide you with a whole-person message of hope and recovery.)

Emotional abuse can be serious and even life-threatening if left unattended. Victims of this type of abuse are often devastated by the effects.

Signs and symptoms of emotional abuse can include hurt, anger, depression, fearfulness, anxiety, destroyed relationships and marriages, and addictive behaviors.

Emotional abuse does not discriminate against its victims, it affects us all.
